Christ Community Church was formed in 1985 by a group of energetic
and committed Christian people. The church met in various locations
before acquiring property on Holland Avenue just off Helmcken Road.
We began worshipping at our current
location in 1992. The congregation has grown over the years,
both in size and in its ministry. We are grateful to God for his
blessing.

From the beginning CCC was guided by a ministry vision with three
main goals:
First, we would be a place for joyful worship. Our praise
teams lead us in energetic singing. We spend time with God in
prayer. We hear the teaching of the Bible. We want CCC to be a
place where you are refreshed and renewed in worship.
Second, we want to be a place where we grow in faith all
our lives. We have programs for children of all
ages, from preschool through high school.
We also have a wide variety of small group programs for adult
members and friends to deepen your roots and bond you
to the rest of the church.
Third, we want to be a place turned out. We
want to be a visible presence in the Victoria community, to share
the love of Christ with people in our neighbourhoods, workplaces
and in all Victoria. We want to have open doors to the city.
Weve summarized our three goals by saying that at Christ
Community Church we are Reaching
Up, Reaching In and Reaching Out. We invite you to
share in the adventure.
Our Roots - Christian Reformed
Christ
Community Church was formed as a new church in 1985 and is a member
of the Christian Reformed Church in
North America. The CRCNA is one of many denominations with origins
in the Protestant Reformation, a church reformation movement in
the 1500's.
The CRCNA as a specific denomination was formed in 1857, first
in the American Midwest. After World War ll, the CRC grew rapidly
in Canada, fed by heavy immigration from Europe. Currently there
are almost 1,000 Christian Reformed congregations in the US and
Canada, with approximately 300,000 members. The CRC symbol identifies
our roots in the Protestant Reformation and the Bible's central
message of the cross of Jesus through the unconditional love of
the Triune God.
