Reaching Up, Reaching Out, Reaching In

The Great Commission

Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20

Christ Community Church was formally organized in 1985. From the beginning it has used a concept of ministry to guide its ministry. The original concept was drafted and approved by the membership at the time of organization. It has been revised from time to time, but the original vision and goals are still relevant.

The concept of ministry grows out of the Great Commission, given by Jesus just before His ascension. It can be summarized this way.

In Christ Community Church:	We reach:
We will glorify God	Upward
We will grow in faith, hope & love	Inward
We will reach out to neighbours	Outward
